Six Flags
Eric has been working so much lately that he actually got to take a half day off on Wednesday so we could go to Six Flags. We had a BLAST!!! Our plan was to take Carlee to Garland so Gammy could watch her, but Eric had to work a little later than expected. Go figure! So we packed her up and headed out. She did great! The good thing about taking the little one is that we had our sit and stand stroller, so whenever Connor got tired he could just hop on. The weather was perfect and we made sure to cool off ever so often. I have to say I am so glad my child is a dare devil. He rode every ride he could and some of them twice. His favorite was of course the water rides... log ride, roaring rapids, etc. We had planned on staying for the Glow in the Park Parade but found out that it didn't even start until 9:45, way to late for us. Connor got to take his pic with Shaggy and Scooby, Batman, and Tweety Bird. It was a great family outing!!
Updates on the kiddos...
We have had so much fun this summer playing, I haven't had time to post.
Connor ~ He is your typical ALL-BOY! He is very active and loves to play. We have had one or two playdates each week, which we all love. He is also going to Jungle Gym, which is a mommy and me class. Starting at the end of August he will start the older class where he will participate by himself and I can even leave him for the hour. I definitely think this will be good for him (and me also). Being with him all day long he has become quite attached, I fear when he has to start going to school again. :( He talks nonstop and has a great vocabulary. There are still times that you can not understand, but he can quickly 'show' you what he wants or needs. He is finally enjoying soccer. For a couple of weeks he would wake up on Saturday and tell Eric or I, "I think we can skip soccer today. Sound like a good plan?" He makes my heart smile all the time!!!
Carlee ~ She is getting so big! She has learned to roll both ways and now we are working on sitting. She can sit for a quick second but then she resembles a Weeble. (But she can fall down.) She has definitely found her voice lately. Her and Connor have great conversations. :) We go to her 4 month appt on August 11th, so I will update with her stats. She sleeps from about 9:00 - 4/5:00 and then she will go back to sleep until around 8:00. I am not complaining at all!!
Eric and I are truly blessed with two wonderful kids!!

Happy 4th of July
I just realized I never posted pics! We had a blast on 4th of July! After soccer we came home and swam for a few hours at Steve's house. That night we headed to Michelle and Kristen's church to watch fireworks. They had a band, bounce house, snow cones, etc. Connor had so much fun. We then tailgated waiting for the show to begin. We were only a few blocks away from Pizza Hut Park. Miss Carlee feel asleep before it even started, but Connor loved them. He would run around and then watch a few.... this went on ALL night. The kid never runs out of energy.

Thank You, MeMe
We were very fortunate that my mom (MeMe) was able to come stay with us for 13 weeks when I had Carlee. We all got pretty spoiled around here. While she was here, she decided to learn how to decorate cakes. Connor LOVED it. Every week she made a cake, cupcakes or cookies. We are hoping that when her next assignment is up in 13 weeks that she will find something closer. We love you MeMe!!
